Pursuant to section 46 of the Ngati Pahauwera Treaty Claims Settlement Act 2012 ("the Settlement Act 2012"), the
New Zealand Geographic Board Nga Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa ("Board") hereby gives notice of discontinued and assigned Crown Protected Area (CPA) names.
Schedules 1 and 2 below specify the details of the discontinued and assigned CPA names; their generic terms; their descriptions; and their former names, which took effect on 8 May 2012, being the date the Settlement Act 2012 came into effect.
For the CPA name listed in Schedule 2, under section 46(4) of the Settlement Act 2012, the Minister of Conservation must not change the name of the CPA listed, without the written consent of the administering body of the site.
