Notice Title

Notice of Intention to Take Land for the Purposes of a Road-Massey North, Auckland

Notice is hereby given that the Auckland Council, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the interest in the land described in the Schedule hereto ("the land"), being an estate in fee simple.
The land is required for the extension of Don Buck Road, being important to the overall roading network within the Plan Change 15 area at Massey North, Auckland, and more particularly for the purposes of a road.
The reason why Auckland Council considers it reasonably necessary to take the interest in the land is that construction of the road on the land to be taken is important to the functioning of the roading network serving the land to be developed at Massey North under Plan Change 15 of the Auckland District Plan (Waitakere Section).
The owner of the land has been served with notice of the Auckland Council’s intention to take the land and has been advised of their right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Tribunals Division, Department for Courts, PO Box 5027, Wellington 6145, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held. The objector will have a right to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires. Each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.
Any person requiring further information in respect of this advice should contact Grant Sextone at Auckland Council Property Limited, Private Bag 92320, Auckland 1142. Telephone: (09) 262 5485.
