Pursuant to section 11 of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003, the following notice is given.
This notice amends the Medical Council of New Zealand’s notice, published in the Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette,
3 February 2012, No. 12, page 283, by replacing
"Accident and medical practice"
in the first entry in the Appendix on page 291 with
"Urgent care"
Explanatory Note
Only the title of the scope of practice is altered. The content of the scope of practice, and the prescribed qualifications, remain unchanged. Doctors registered in the Accident and medical practice scope of practice will, from 1 August 2012, be registered in the Urgent care scope of practice.
