Pursuant to section 4(5) of the District Courts Act 1947,
His Excellency the Governor-General has:
(a) revoked, with effect from the close of 1 March 2013, the appointment of Whataroa* as a place in which a District Court may be held for the exercise of criminal jurisdiction; and
(b) consequentially revoked, with effect from the close of 1 March 2013, the authorisation of the District Court held in Whataroa† to deal with matters under the Imprisonment for Debt Limitation Act 1908.
