Pursuant to section 103 of the Land Transport Management Act 2003, the Secretary for Transport gives notice that, with effect from 28 September 2012:
(a) The sections of State Highway 16, 17, 18, 18A and 20, described in the First Schedule, are revoked; and
(b) the sections of State Highway 16, 18, and
20, described in the Second Schedule, are declared to be State highway.
First Schedule
Following the current alignment of State Highway 16 in Auckland City, commencing on The Strand (Route Position 0/0.81) and extending in a generally southerly direction along Shipwright Lane to Parnell Rise, and then along Parnell Rise in a generally westerly direction to Stanley Street (Route Position 0/1.00); a distance of approximately 0.19 kilometres.
Following the current alignment of State Highway 16 in Auckland City, commencing at the western end of the
new Hobsonville Road overbridge (Route Position 19/0.10) and extending in a generally westerly direction along Hobsonville Road to Don Buck Road roundabout and then in a generally northerly direction to the old intersection with Brigham Creek Road (Route Position 19/4.02); a distance of approximately 3.92 kilometres.
Following the current alignment of State Highway 17 in Auckland City, commencing at the north-western boundary of Fowler Access Road (Route Position 0/0.00) and extending in a generally southerly direction through Waiwera, Hatfields Beach, Orewa, Silverdale, to the north-eastern boundary of Jack Hawken Lane (Route Position 0/14.22); a distance
of approximately 14.22 kilometres.
Following the current alignment of State Highway 17 in Auckland City, commencing at the south-western side
of the Silverdale Interchange (Route Position 16/0.00)
and extending in a generally southerly direction through Dairy Flat and Albany to the westernmost boundary of Bush Road/Mercari Way (Route Position 16/16.73); a distance of approximately 16.73 kilometres.
Following the current alignment of State Highway 18 in Auckland City, commencing at a point approximately
600 metres east of the eastern side of Squadron Drive overbridge (Route Position 7/1.03) and extending in a generally south-westerly direction to the northern boundary of the new Hobsonville Deviation (Route Position 7/1.71);
a distance of approximately 0.68 kilometres.
Following the current alignment of State Highway 18 in Auckland City, commencing at the junction of Buckley Avenue and Hobsonville Road (Route Position 7/1.86) and extending in a generally south-westerly direction along Hobsonville Road to the eastern abutment of the new State Highway 16 Hobsonville Road Underpass (Route Position 7/6.64); a distance of approximately 4.78 kilometres.
Following the current alignment of State Highway 18A in Auckland City, commencing at a point on the Albany Highway at the southern end of the Albany Highway overbridge (Route Position 0/0.11) and extending in a generally south-westerly direction along the Albany Highway and Upper Harbour Drive to a point (Route Position 0/4.27) on the south-western side of the roundabout at William Pitcher Place; a distance of approximately 4.16 kilometres.
Following the current alignment of State Highway 20 in Auckland City, commencing at a point on Redoubt Road approximately 245 metres west of Diorella Drive (Route Position 0/0.00) and extending in a generally westerly direction along Redoubt Road to the eastern end of the Redoubt Road overbridge (Route Position 0/0.18); a distance of approximately 0.18 kilometres.
Following the current alignment of State Highway 20 in Auckland City, commencing at the western end of the Redoubt Road overbridge (Route Position 0/0.24) and extending in a generally westerly direction along Redoubt Road, Manukau Station Road and Wiri Station Road to Roscommon Road, and then along Roscommon Road in a generally north-westerly direction to the southern boundary of the new State Highway 20 realignment (Route Position 0/4.66); a total distance of approximately 4.98 kilometres; and including a section commencing at a point on Great South Road approximately 375 metres south of Redoubt Road and extending along Great South Road in a generally northerly direction to the junction with Redoubt Road.
Second Schedule
Following the proposed alignment of State Highway 16 commencing at the intersection of The Strand and Shipwright Lane (Route Position 0/0.81) and extending
in a generally south-westerly direction to the intersection
of Stanley Street and Parnell Rise (Route Position 0/0.97);
a distance of approximately 0.16 kilometres.
Following the proposed alignment of State Highway 16 commencing at the southern side of the newly constructed Hobsonville Road Underpass (Route Position 7/10.00) and extending in a generally north-westerly direction to the
old intersection of State Highway 16 with Brigham Creek Road (Route Position 19/0.21); a distance of approximately 3.06 kilometres.
Following the proposed alignment of State Highway 18 commencing approximately 600 metres east of the eastern side of Squadron Drive Underpass (Route Position 7/1.03) and extending in a generally south-westerly direction
to the southern side of the newly constructed Hobsonville Road Underpass (Route Position 7/6.76); a distance of approximately 5.74 kilometres.
Following the proposed alignment of State Highway 20 commencing at the junction with State Highway 1 (Reference Station 0/0.00) and extending in a generally north-westerly direction to the southern abutment of the Puhinui Road Overpass (Route Position 0/4.72); a distance of approximately 4.72 kilometres.
