Notice Title

Revoking a Section of State Highway and Declaring a Section of State Highway-State Highway 25, Thames-Coromandel District

Pursuant to section 103 of the Land Transport Management Act 2003, the Secretary for Transport gives notice that, with effect from 7 September 2012:
(a) the section of new road, described in the First Schedule, is declared to be State Highway 25.
(b) Parts of State Highway 25, described in the Second Schedule, are revoked.
First Schedule
The section of road known as the Whitianga Bypass, commencing at RP 127/0.54 at the intersection with Buffalo Beach Road and extending in a generally southerly direction to RP 127/3.40 at the intersection with South Highway. The length of road to be declared highway is approximately 2.86 kilometres.
Second Schedule
Part of State Highway 25 commencing at RP 127/0.54
at the intersection with the Whitianga Bypass and extending in a generally southerly and then westerly direction along Buffalo Beach Road, Albert Street and South Highway ending at RP 127/4.64, being the eastern edge of the canal. The length of road to be revoked is approximately 4.10 kilometres.
Part of State Highway 25 commencing at RP 127/4.65 at the western side of the canal and extending in a westerly direction to RP 127/5.99 being the intersection with the Whitianga Bypass. The length of road to be revoked is approximately 1.34 kilometres.
