Pursuant to section 70C of the Education Act 1989, acting under a delegation from the Secretary for Education, I hereby give notice that boards of trustees of New Zealand State and State Integrated Schools may enter into agreements (other than a lease or licence granted under section 70B of the Education Act 1989) to allow third party use of school land, buildings and facilities.
The types of agreements under this notice are short term or intermittent use of facilities such as the school swimming pool, school hall or playing fields, or the ongoing use by a third party of infrastructure such as the school boilers.
The terms and conditions of such use and occupancy must be agreed to by the Ministry of Education.
