Pursuant to section 65ZD(3) of the Public Finance Act 1989, the Minister of Finance makes the following statement:
"On the 9th day of February 2012 I, The Honourable Simon William English, Minister of Finance, on behalf of the Crown, gave a tax indemnity to the trustees of the Te Runanga Nui o Te Aupouri Trust as described under Part 2 of the General Matters Schedule of the Deed of Settlement for Te Aupouri signed on 28 January 2012 and which is to apply from the date of such signing (namely 28 January 2012)."
