I hereby give notice that, under section 75 of the Animal Welfare Act 1999, the Animal Welfare (Meat Chickens) Code of Welfare 2012 will be issued on 26 July 2012, being the date it is notified in the New Zealand Gazette, and
comes into effect on 27 July 2012, the day after it is published.
I also give notice, under section 76 of the Animal Welfare Act 1999, that on 26 July 2012, the Animal Welfare (Broiler Chickens: Fully Housed) Code of Welfare 2003 is revoked*.
