Pursuant to section 50(5) of the Biosecurity Act 1993,
I give notice that the following approved identification system may be used to comply with the Biosecurity
(Animal Identification Systems) Regulations 1999 from
1 July 2012, with respect to the identification of cattle and deer for the purpose of controlling bovine tuberculosis:
1. Animal Health Board (AHB) Identification System administered by the Animal Health Board Incorporated, approved by David Hayes, Director, Preparedness and Partnerships, on 22 June 2012.
Pursuant to section 50(5) of the Biosecurity Act 1993,
I give notice that the following approved identification systems may be used to comply with the Biosecurity (Animal Identification Systems) Regulations 1999, with respect to the identification of dairy cows for the purpose of controlling bovine tuberculosis:
1. MINDA Identification System administered by the Livestock Improvement Corporation Limited, approved by Barry O’Neil, Chief technical officer,
on 3 June 1999.
2. CRV AmBreed Identification System administered
by CRV AmBreed NZ, approved by Barry O’Neil, Deputy Director-General, on 15 March 2010.
