PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL OF A VARIATION OF THE TERMS OF THE TATUM SCOUT MEMORIAL TRUST

The Charitable Trusts Act 1957
Notice is given that the Scout Association of New Zealand is to apply to the High Court of New Zealand at Wellington for the variation of certain provisions of the TATUM SCOUT MEMORIAL TRUST.
The proposed date for the hearing of the application is
26 March 2012.
The proposed scheme is that the terms of the trust established by Alice Elizabeth Tatum in her will dated the 24th day of December 1941 be varied to enable the sale of the Tatum Park property south of Levin and to be replaced by a new trust to be known as the TATUM SCOUT MEMORIAL TRUST, on the grounds that it is impossible or impracticable or inexpedient to carry out the original purpose of the trust.
Any person desiring to oppose the scheme must give written notice of his/her intention to do so to the Registrar and to the Scout Association of New Zealand and the Attorney-General not less than seven clear days before the hearing date specified.
The Scout Association of New Zealand’s address is care of the offices of Tripe Matthews & Feist, Lawyers,
PO Box 5003, Lambton Quay, Wellington 6145.
