1. Pursuant to section 38(3)(b) of the Electricity Industry Act 2010 ("Act"), the Electricity Authority ("Authority") gives notice of the making of the Electricity Industry Participation (Policy Statement and Procurement Plan Review Process) Code Amendment 2012.
2. The amendment comes into force on 10 January 2013.
3. The amendment makes changes to the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 ("Code"):
(a) to provide for a complete review of the policy statement and procurement plan at least every two years; and
(b) to allow changes to the policy statement and procurement plan to be made between reviews; and
(c) to modify the process for consultation on changes to the policy statement and procurement plan; and
(d) to allow for a streamlined process for making technical and non-controversial changes to the policy statement or procurement plan; and
(e) to modify the requirements for the contents of a draft procurement plan.
