Whereas, pursuant to section 441 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Minister of Transport did delegate those powers under section 16 of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996 to Maritime New Zealand
by an instrument of delegation dated 19 March 1997.
And whereas, pursuant to section 442 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, Maritime New Zealand did delegate those powers under section 16 of the Submarine Cables
and Pipelines Protection Act 1996 to the Director of Maritime New Zealand by an instrument of delegation
dated December 2010.
Therefore I, Keith Manch, Director of Maritime
New Zealand, hereby appoint the following persons to
be protection officers under the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996:
Jodie Mark Busbridge, of Palmerston North
Peter Sidney Collett, of Auckland
Karl Douglas Gill, of Wellington
John Patrick Joseph Keogh, of Wellington
Gregory John McAllister, of Wellington
Matthew Arved Nixon, of Palmerston North
This notice comes into effect on 9 February 2012.
