Pursuant to sections 4(1) and 8(1) of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, the National Rural Fire Authority hereby makes the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. Title and commencement-(1) This notice is the Auckland Rural Fire District Constitution and Administration Notice 2012.
(2) This notice will come into force on 1 October 2012.
2. Constitution and administration of Auckland Rural Fire District-(1) The areas set out in the Schedule to this notice are hereby constituted and declared to be a rural fire district to be known as the Auckland Rural Fire District.
(2) For the purposes of the Act, the Auckland Rural Fire District shall be administered by the Auckland Rural
Fire Committee.
(3) The committee shall be the Auckland Council.
(4) The area set out in the Schedule to the notice does not include any "fire district" as that term is defined in section 2 of the Fire Service Act 1975 and any Defence area defined under section 4(2) of the Act.

Auckland Land District
All those parcels containing 4229.04 square kilometres, more or less, as shown on Plan LGC-AK-R1 lodged in the office of the Local Government Commission, Wellington, and SO 50341, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Auckland (for ease of reference that land is also shown on plans numbered NRFA 0712 deposited in the Corporate Office of the New Zealand Fire Service Commission at Wellington).
