Pursuant to section 77B(1) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990,
I, Graeme Harris, Director of Civil Aviation, hereby direct that the Aviation Security Service shall screen and undertake reasonable searches of any:
(a) Person, item, substance or vehicle:
(i) before they enter a security enhanced area; or
(ii) present within a security enhanced area.
(b) Unattended item, substance or vehicle in a security enhanced area, for any items and substances listed
in the Direction Under Section 77B of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, dated at Wellington on the 11th day of July 2012.
This Direction is available for inspection at the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand, Level 15, 55 Featherston Street, Wellington, and may be downloaded from the CAA website

This Direction shall take effect on 1 August 2012.
This Direction replaces the previous Direction dated at Petone on the 12th day of March 2008* which is hereby rescinded on the effective date of this Direction.
