1. Pursuant to section 38(3)(b) of the Electricity Industry Act 2010, the Electricity Authority ("Authority) gives notice of the making of the Electricity Industry Participation (Demand-side Bidding and Forecasting) Code Amendment 2011, Amendment 2012 ("Amendment").
2. The Amendment comes into force on 27 June 2012.
3. The Amendment:
(a) amends the commencement time of the part of
the Electricity Industry Participation (Demand-side Bidding and Forecasting) Code Amendment 2011 ("Principal Amendment") which was going to
come into force at 12.00 midnight on 28 June 2012, to 1.30pm on 28 June 2012;
(b) includes a transitional provision to cover the
period from 12.30pm on 28 June 2012 to 2.30pm
on 28 June 2012; and
(c) makes three minor technical amendments.
4. Copies of the Amendment, the Principal Amendment, and the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 ("Code") are available on the Authority’s website

5. Copies of the Amendment, the Principal Amendment, and the Code may also be inspected free of charge or purchased from the Electricity Authority, Level 7, ASB Bank Tower, 2 Hunter Street, Wellington.
