Pursuant to section 79 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 ("HSNO Act"), the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) gives notice Plastic Constructions Limited intends to apply for approval of
the code of practice HSNOCOP 56 Design and Construction of Thermoplastic Tanks for Class 6, 8 and 9 Hazardous Liquids.
Clause 8(2)(h) of Schedule 8 to the Hazardous Substances (Dangerous Goods and Scheduled Toxic Substances) Transfer Notice 2004 enables the approval of a code of practice for the design and construction of stationary tanks.
The purpose of this code of practice is to specify requirements for the design and construction of tanks
made from thermoplastic material.
