I, Alexander Lockwood Smith, Speaker of the House of Representatives, give notice that Chris Joseph Carter has resigned his seat in the House of Representatives for the
Te Atatu Electoral District with effect at the close of Friday 30 September 2011, and that the seat is vacant by reason of that resignation.
