Pursuant to section 16 of the New Zealand Geographic Board (Nga Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa) Act 2008 ("the Act"), notice was given in the New Zealand Gazette, on 26 August 2010, No. 108, page 2905, of a proposal by the New Zealand Geographic Board Nga Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa ("the Board") to alter an existing geographic name from "South Ridge" to "Hillary Ridge".
Submissions received for this geographic name proposal were dealt with by the Board according to section 18 of the Act.
I hereby declare my final determination, made on 29 July 2011, pursuant to sections 20(2) and 20(3) of the Act, is that the name specified in the first column of the Schedule below ("the Schedule") is now the official geographic name.
The geographic feature type that this name relates to is set out in the second column of the Schedule.
The description for this name is set out in the third column of the Schedule.
My final determination on this name shall take effect on 18 August 2011.
