Pursuant to section 338(5)(d) of Te Ture Whenua Maori
Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Maori Land
Court, the purpose of the Maori reservation as set out in the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 12 October 1972, No. 83, page 2292, is redefined to read:
"that the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is set aside as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a papakainga for the common use and benefit of Nga Uri o Tangata."
