Fees Payable to the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand from 1 April 2012 for the Profession of Anaesthetic Technology

Pursuant to sections 130 and 133 of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003, the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand gives notice that the following fees are payable effective from 1 April 2012.
All fees are GST inclusive.
Fees are not refundable when an application is declined.

Fees Payable
A. REGISTRATION FEES $
Application for registration from an anaesthetic technician registered with the New Zealand Anaesthetic Technicians Society (NZATS) as at 31 May 2011. Training can be either New Zealand or overseas.
(This registration option expires on 30 April 2012) 391.00
Application for registration from a New Zealand registered or enrolled nurse (this registration option expires on 31 March 2013) 391.00
Application for registration by an anaesthetic technician trained in New Zealand (not registered with NZATS as at 31 May 2011) 391.00
Application for registration by a practitioner trained overseas (not registered with NZATS as at 31 May 2011) 529.00
B. ANNUAL PRACTISING CERTIFICATE FEES
Application by a registered anaesthetic technician for a current practising certificate 345.00
C. SUPPLY OF DOCUMENTS FEES
Issue of a certificate of registration (additional to initial confirmation of registration) 57.50
Issue of a replacement and/or duplicate annual practising certificate 57.50
Any other document certifying registration status or standing 57.50
Supply of documents for the purpose of seeking registration overseas 115.00
D. ACCREDITATION FEES
Council does not set a standard fee for carrying out an accreditation review of a New Zealand education provider, training hospital, or examination provider, but will instead issue an itemised invoice for reimbursement of costs associated with the accreditation review. All such invoices are calculated on a
cost-recovery basis only.
