Social Workers Registration Board (Fees and Disciplinary Levy) Notice 2011

Pursuant to sections 108 and 109 of the Social Workers Registration Act 2003, the following notice is given.
N o t i c e
1. Title and commencement-(1) This notice may be cited as the Social Workers Registration Board (Fees and Disciplinary Levy) Notice 2011.
(2) This notice comes into force on 1 July 2011 and replaces the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 10 June 2010, No. 64, page 1868.
2. Fees-The Social Workers Registration Board sets the following fees and disciplinary levies, payable to the board, specified in the attached Schedules.
Schedule One
Tax-The fees are inclusive of goods and services tax.

Application for registration with an overseas qualification and practising in New Zealand 368.00
Re-processing of applications to 30 June 2012 368.00
Issue of practising certificate to 30 June 2012 368.00
Competence Assessment (Full) 255.55

Disciplinary levy to 30 June 2012 00.00
Applications for copies of certificates or entries, or for supplying documents for overseas registration purposes 46.00

Schedule Two
Tax-The fees are exclusive of goods and services tax.
The fees set for the Recognition of New Social Work Programmes in New Zealand Universities in the 2011/2012 financial year are as follows:

Fee for the desk audit and a single site visit in New Zealand.
A fee of up to $15,000.00 (plus GST) based on full cost recovery will normally be charged for the programme recognition process at a single site in New Zealand. Up to
15,000.00
Additional visits may be required if the programme is delivered at more than one site. Actual and reasonable costs will be charged for any additional site visits or concurrent programme approvals.
Exemption
Applicants who apply for registration during the year to 30 June 2012 will be exempt in that year from fees for the issue of a practising certificate.
