(Ratings and Inspections) Act 1994, AMI Insurance Limited gives notice that on Wednesday 23 March 2011,
A.M. Best Company downgraded its financial strength rating of AMI Insurance Limited from "A+" (Superior) to
"A-" (Excellent).
A.M. Best Company has placed its rating under review with negative implications reflecting the negative impact on the capitalisation of AMI Insurance Limited from the recent Canterbury earthquake in February 2011 and additionally its concern with risk management of aggregate catastrophe exposures.
