Pursuant to section 2(1) of the Land Transport Act 1998, the Minister of Police gives the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. Title-This notice is the Land Transport (Approved Vehicle Surveillance Equipment) Notice 2011.
2. Commencement-This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
3. Approval of NZREDFLEXdual-radar static camera system-(1) The vehicle surveillance equipment to which this clause applies is approved as a kind of vehicle surveillance equipment for the purposes of the Land Transport Act 1998.
(2) The vehicle surveillance equipment to which this clause applies is the NZREDFLEXdual-radar static camera system:
(a) together with:
(i) a mounting pole and housing; and
(ii) a flash unit mounting pole; and
(b) with or without all or any of the following:
(i) a synchronised flash unit;
(ii) a computer network modem or data cable;
(iii) a portable device for storing data.
(3) For the purposes of subclause (2)(b)(iii), portable device for storing data means a device, with or without a USB interface, that records, retains, or stores data (including data relating to the system’s deployment site) in a way that allows the data to be used and to be retrieved, uploaded, or reproduced.
