Pursuant to section 65ZD(3) of the Public Finance Act 1989, the Minister of Finance makes the following statement:
"On the 10th day of November 2011, I, The Honourable Simon William English, Minister of Finance, on behalf of the Crown, gave a tax indemnity to the trustees of the Rongowhakaata Settlement Trust and the trustees of Nga Uri o Te Kooti Rikirangi Settlement Trust as described under Part 3 of the General Matters Schedule of the Deed of Settlement for Rongowhakaata and Nga Uri o Te Kooti Rikirangi signed on 30 September 2011 and which is to apply from the date of such signing (namely 30 September 2011)."
