PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 216 of the Resource Management
Act 1991, His Excellency the Governor-General of
New Zealand, acting on the advice and with the consent
of the Executive Council, makes the following Order.
O r d e r
1. Title-This order is the Water Conservation (Kawarau) Amendment Order 2011.
2. Commencement-This order comes into force 28 days after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
3. Principal order amended-This order amends the Water Conservation (Kawarau) Order 1997*.
4. Further exemptions-Clause 6 is amended as follows:
(1) Paragraph 6(1)(b) is amended by inserting "; and" after "Hunter Stream".
(2) Sub-clause 6(1) is amended by inserting the following new paragraph (c) after paragraph (b):
(c) the Shotover River from the present state highway bridge (NZTopo50 CC11 657 082) to its confluence with the Kawarau River.
(3) Paragraph 6(2)(a) is amended by inserting "except for the water body referred to in subclause (1)(c)" after "bridges".
(4) Paragraph 6(3)(a) is amended by inserting "and any connected water bodies" after "bodies".
