Pursuant to section 65ZD(3) of the Public Finance Act 1989, the Minister of Finance makes the following statement:
"On the 7th day of October 2011, I, The Honourable Simon William English, Minister of Finance, on behalf of the Crown, gave a tax indemnity to the Trustees of the Nga Maunga Whakahii o Kaipara Development Trust as described under Part 2 of the General Matters Schedule of the Deed of Settlement for Ngati Whatua
o Kaipara signed on 9 September 2011 and which
is to apply from the date of such signing (namely
9 September 2011)."
