Under section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Ridgway School Board of Trustees.
The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:
- All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer;
- all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage financial operations;
- all functions, powers and duties of the board in relation to property management; and
- all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage all communications including communications with
the media, communications within the school, and communications between the school and its community.
A limited statutory manager is also to advise the board on
areas for improvement identified through the Education Review Office longitudinal review process.
This notice comes into effect on 17 November 2011.
