Pursuant to section 60 of the Fisheries Act 1996 ("the Act"), the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, after consultation with representative organisations that have an interest provided in section 60 of the Act and after consideration of the matters specified in section 60(3) of the Act, gives the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. Title-This notice is the Fisheries (Quota Aggregation Limit Exemption) Notice (No. 2) 2011.
2. Commencement-This notice shall come into effect on the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
3. Exemption to quota aggregation limit for king crab-From the date that this notice comes into effect, consent is given for New Zealand Longline Limited to hold quota shares for king crab having a combined quota weight less than or equal to 54.26 per cent of the combined total allowable commercial catches of king crab.
4. Exemption to quota aggregation limit for red crab-From the date that this notice comes into effect, consent is given for New Zealand Longline Limited to hold quota shares for red crab having a combined quota weight less than or equal to 45.63 per cent of the combined total allowable commercial catches of red crab.
