In accordance with section 82 of the Motor Vehicle Sales Act 2003, I hereby disestablish:
(a) one of the two Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunals established at Auckland; and
(b) the Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal established at Christchurch.
These tribunals were established by a notice published
in the New Zealand Gazette, 19 February 2004, No. 17, page 365, and a corrigendum to that notice published in the
New Zealand Gazette, 1 April 2004, No. 39, page 976.
All records formerly held by these disestablished tribunals will be dealt with by the remaining Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal at Auckland.
The remaining Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunals established at Auckland and Wellington are together named the "Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal".
The Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal exercises the jurisdiction created by the Motor Vehicle Sales Act 2003
for the whole of New Zealand.
The Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal will be administered from a central registry in the Tribunals Unit, Ministry of Justice.
