Notice of Initiation: Review of Anti-dumping Duty on Preserved Peaches from China

Pursuant to section 14(8) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, and acting under delegated authority from the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Economic Development, I have initiated a review of the imposition of anti-dumping duty in respect of the goods described in the Schedule to this notice (the goods).
This initiation follows the receipt of an application made
by the New Zealand industry providing positive evidence justifying the need for a review.
Anti-dumping duty was imposed on the goods following
a determination dated the 21st day of August 2006.
Notice of this final determination was published in the
New Zealand Gazette, 24 August 2006, No. 100, page 2967.

Country of Origin
The People’s Republic of China.
Description of Goods
Peaches in preserving liquid, in containers up to and including 4.0 kg.
The goods are classified under tariff item and statistical
key 2008.70.09.00L of the Tariff of New Zealand, which classification is provided for convenience and Customs purposes only, the written description being dispositive.
