Application to Hold and Transfer a Marine Mammal Bone Collection Permit

Pursuant to sections 5 and 6 of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, Robert Noel Westrupp has applied
to the Director-General of Conservation for a permit to
hold and transfer to Daniel Tucker, a marine mammal bone collection consisting of:
- a number of whale teeth;
- two elephant seal tusks; and
- two leopard seal teeth
variously procured in New Zealand or imported with Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) permit approval.
A copy of application details and detailed inventory
can be obtained from the Department of Conservation, Nelson/Marlborough Conservancy, Private Bag 5, Nelson 7042.
Any person wishing to make a submission can do so by writing to the Technical Support Manager, Department of Conservation, Nelson/Marlborough Conservancy, Private Bag 5, Nelson 7042, within 28 days after the publication
of this notice.
Unless a person making a submission states to the contrary in the submission, that person will be deemed to give his/her consent to the release under the Official Information Act 1982 of all the information in the submission.
