Recognition of Overseas Qualifications and Experience

The Electrical Workers Registration Board ("the Board") has the responsibility for the registration and licensing of electrical workers in New Zealand.
Pursuant to section 85(1)(f) of the Electricity Act 1992
(as amended by the Electricity Amendment Act 2006), the Board hereby gives notice that the overseas qualifications, certificates, registrations and licences contained in the Policy and Procedures Manual titled "Recognition of Overseas Qualifications and Experience" ("the Manual") are recognised to the extent set out in the Manual.
The Manual may be amended by the Board, from time to time, to reflect legislative and policy developments.
Further, where any amendments or changes to the relevant New Zealand legislation have come into force, but are
not yet reflected in the Manual, any legislative references should be read, where necessary, as reference to their current equivalents.
