On 1 February 2011, Her Majesty The Queen in the Right of New Zealand, acting by and through the Chief Executive
of the Department of Corrections and Serco New Zealand Limited, entered into both a prison management contract under section 198(1) of the Corrections Act 2004 and
a security contract under section 166(1) of the Act.
Serco New Zealand Limited is the contractor and security contractor for the purposes of the Act.
