Pursuant to section 65ZD(3) of the Public Finance Act 1989, the Minister of Finance makes the following statement:
"On 9 February 2011, I, The Honourable William Simon English, Minister of Finance, on behalf of the Crown, gave to Qantas Airways Limited an indemnity in relation to the charter of a Boeing 747 for the transportation of freight on behalf of the New Zealand Defence Force."
