The Commerce Commission ("Commission") has received a proposal from the Telecommunications Carriers’ Forum for
a new draft access code for the transfer of telecommunications services ("Draft Code") for approval by the Commission under Schedule 2 of the Telecommunications Act 2001.
Under clause 7 of Schedule 2, the Commission wishes to consult on the Draft Code (including by consulting with every eligible person who has voted against the Draft Code).
Submissions are due no later than 20 working days after the date of this notice, which is 2 February 2012.
The Commission does not require the Telecommunications Carriers’ Forum to undertake any further consultation.
Under clause 7(c), the Commission must give public notice of the Draft Code.
This notice serves to satisfy this requirement.
