Pursuant to section 79(5) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 ("HSNO Act"), the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) advises that it approved on
3 October 2011, the Code of Practice HSNOCOP 9 version 2.0 Product Labelling and Documentation Code for Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines.
This code has been developed by Agcarm Incorporated and is intended to provide a means for meeting the HSNO Act regulatory requirements for container labels in respect of crop protection products and veterinary medicines.
These requirements are principally contained in Part 1 of the Hazardous Substances (Identification) Regulations 2001, Part 2 of the Hazardous Substances (Emergency Management) Regulations 2001, and Regulations 11 and 12 of the Hazardous Substances (Disposal) Regulations 2001.
Pursuant to section 80(1) of the HSNO Act, this code may be inspected on request at the Wellington office of the Environmental Protection Authority, Level 1, BP House,
20 Customhouse Quay, Wellington.
