Pursuant to clause 6.3 of Land Transport Rule: Setting
of Speed Limits 2003, and a delegation from the
NZ Transport agency, I, Glenn Bunting, Network Manager, approve a 90km/h speed limit on State Highway 2, in accordance with the conditions set out in this notice.
Conditions
1. Extent of 90km/h Speed Limit
The NZ Transport Agency may set a 90km/h speed limit
on State Highway 2 between the interchange at State
Highway 1 near Pokeno and a point 230 metres south-east of the intersection with State Highway 25 near Mangatarata, excluding any section where a different speed limit is more appropriate.
2. Signs
Speed limit signs that comply with Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004 must be installed at each point where the speed limit changes and repeater signs must
be installed in the 90km/h sections of road at intervals
of 3 kilometres or less.
3. Bylaw
To set the 90km/h speed limit approved in this notice,
the Highways and Network Operations Group of the
NZ Transport Agency must make a bylaw in accordance with Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003.
