Pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992,
the NZ Motor Industry Training Organisation (Incorporated) has been granted an extension of industry coverage for five years, with effect from the publishing of this notice, to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the following industries:
The commercial road transport industry, the State
Sector and New Zealand Defence Force for road transport-related operations, the stevedoring and port industry (including the New Zealand Defence Force) covering port cargo handling, ship loading and unloading, and port marine services; and the road transport logistics industry (covering warehousing but not wholesaling), freight forwarding and distribution, specifically related to the receipt, transhipment and breakdown of bulk, and packaging for reconsignment.
