Pursuant to section 45 of the Maritime Security Act
2004, I, Catherine Joy Taylor, Director of Maritime
New Zealand, hereby designate the following area at CentrePort, Wellington, as a port security area:
(a) That land on Inter-Island Wharf (excluding the existing port security area contained on the eastern boundary), when within any fenced or secured
area used to berth cruise or other vessels from time to time.
(b) For the avoidance of doubt this Gazette Notice does not affect the status of the port security area on
the eastern side of the Inter-Island Wharf designated a port security area on 20 August 2004.
(c) This designation takes effect from 4 August 2011.
