Pursuant to section 79 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 ("HSNO Act"), the Environmental Risk Management Authority gives notice that Northport Limited intends to apply for approval of the Code of Practice for Fumigation at Northport (Marsden Point).
This code has been developed by Northport and sets out
a means of compliance with the requirements of clause 6(4) of the controls for methyl bromide as reassessed by the Environmental Risk Management Authority on 28 October 2011, in respect of establishing a buffer zone.
The code is available from Northport Limited, Ralph Trimmer Drive, PO Box 44, Ruakaka. A copy can also be inspected
