Pursuant to section 8 of the Industry Training Act 1992, The New Zealand Flooring Training Organisation Incorporated has been provisionally recognised as an industry training organisation with an extension of industry coverage from
9 February 2011 to 27 November 2013 to set standards at Levels 1-8 on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework for the painting and paperhanging industry (painting and decorating) with respect to the preparation of surfaces and application of paints, coatings, coverings and associated products, including resins.
