Pursuant to section 79(5) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 ("HSNO Act"), the Environmental Risk Management Authority of New Zealand advises that
it has approved on 4 March 2011, the Code of Practice "Selection of fire doors where flammable liquids are stored and used".
This code has been developed by the Environmental Risk Management Agency and provides a practical means for doors to comply with the fire resistance rating of buildings, rooms and chambers where flammable liquids are stored
and used under section 62(3)(c) of Schedule 8 and section 33(1)(b) of Schedule 10 of the Hazardous Substances (Dangerous Goods and Scheduled Toxic substances) Transfer Notice 2004 (as amended).
Pursuant to section 80(1) of the HSNO Act, this code may be inspected on request at the Wellington office of the Environmental Risk Management Authority of New Zealand, Level 1, BP House, 20 Customhouse Quay, Wellington.
