Notice of Final Determinations to Assign or Alter Geographic Names

Pursuant to sections 19 and 21(2) of the New Zealand Geographic Board (Nga Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa) Act 2008, the
New Zealand Geographic Board Nga Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa ("the Board") hereby gives notice of the final determinations to assign new or alter existing, geographic names.
The new or altered geographic names are now official geographic names and are specified in the first column of the Schedule below.
The geographic feature type that each new or altered geographic name relates to, is set out in the second column of the Schedule.
The description of each new or altered geographic name is set out in the third column of the Schedule.
The Board’s final determinations on these geographic names take effect on 16 December 2010.

Te Motu Kairangi
/ Miramar Peninsula Peninsula A north-south peninsula, extending from Point Halswell in the north to Palmer Head in the south. NZTopo50 BQ31-Wellington, from: GR 529 281 to GR 523 214. Alteration to a dual name from Miramar Peninsula (collected name). Not Watts Peninsula.
Te Whetu Kairangi Ridge Ridge The main ridgeline of Te Motu Kairangi / Miramar Peninsula, extending north-south from Mount Crawford in the north to the high point above Worser Bay, on which is located a beaconed geodetic mark, coded 8117 and named "11 Seatoun", at height 117m.
