Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Canterbury Conservancy of the Department of Conservation notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Hurunui District Council on 29 July 2010:
"In exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Hurunui District Council hereby resolves that those parcels of land vested in the City in fee simple and described in the Schedule, be declared to be a Historic Reserve pursuant to Section 18 of the Reserves Act 1977."
