On the recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the Maori land referred to in the Schedule, as set out in New Zealand Gazette, 28 November 1991, No. 181, page 3739, was set aside as a Maori reservation.
Pursuant to section 338(5)(c) of Te Ture Whenua Maori
Act 1993, the purposes of the said Maori reservation are redefined by:
(a) redefining the person or class of persons for whose use and benefit the reservation is made to being for the descendants of Ngawaero and Unu; and
(b) naming the reservation the Ngawaero Marae Trust.
