Notice of Intention to Take Land for the Functioning Indirectly of a Road Ruakura Road, Hamilton City

Notice is hereby given that the Hamilton City Council, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the land described in the Schedule hereto ("the land").
The land described in the Schedule to this notice is required for construction of the intersection improvements at Ruakura Road in Hamilton.
The project is required to improve the safety and efficiency of Ruakura Road and its intersection with Te Aroha Street and Peachgrove Road, and to provide a safe and free flowing transport corridor that forms part of an integrated and efficient city transport network in accordance with the objectives set out in the Hamilton City Proposed District Plan and Hamilton's Transport Strategy (Access Hamilton).
The owner of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of Hamilton City Council's intention to take the land, and their right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send
a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court,
PO Box 7147, Wellesley Street, Auckland 1141, within
20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held with the right of the objector to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

The land is located at 4 Ruakura Road, Hamilton.
