Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road Tauranga

Notice is hereby given that the Tauranga City Council
("the Council"), under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the land described in the Schedule hereto ("the land").
The land described in the Schedule to this notice is required for road.
It is intended to use the land as part of the road system in accordance with the designation in the district plan.
The intended taking is considered reasonably necessary to cater for increasing traffic volumes and to provide access onto the proposed Sandhurst Interchange (State Highway 2) from the local road network.
The owners of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the Council's intention to take their land, and their right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send
a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court,
PO Box 7147, Wellesley Street, Auckland 1141, within
20 working days of the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be heard with the right of the objector to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

The land is located at 899 State Highway 2, Te Maunga.
