Appointments/reappointments to Various Health Sector Crown Entities

The Minister of Health has made the following appointments or reappointments.
Alcohol Advisory Council of New Zealand (ALAC)
Pursuant to the Alcohol Advisory Council Act 1976, and the Crown Entities Act 2004
Jamie Simpson, appointed as a member
Anne Hobby, reappointed as a member
of ALAC for terms commencing on 20 December 2010 and ending on 19 December 2013.
Crown Health Financing Agency (CHFA)
Pursuant to the Crown Entities Act 2004, and the
New Zealand Public Health and Disability Act 2000
Alastair Scott, reappointed as a member and appointed as chairperson
of CHFA for a term commencing on 1 January 2011 and ending on 31 December 2013; and
Ingrid Collins, appointed as a member
Murray Burns, appointed as a member
of CHFA for terms commencing on 23 December 2010 and ending on 22 December 2013; and
Pip Dunphy, reappointed as a member
of CHFA for a term commencing on 23 December 2010 and ending on 22 December 2011.
Health Quality and Safety Commission (HQSC)
Pursuant to the Crown Entities Act 2004
Dr Peter Foley, appointed as deputy chair
of HQSC for a term commencing on 1 January 2011 and ending on 30 November 2013 (ie, for the remainder of his current term as a member of HQSC).
Mental Health Commission (MHC)
Pursuant to the Crown Entities Act 2004, and the Mental Health Commission Act 1998
Dr Lynne Lane, appointed as a member and chairperson
of MHC for a term commencing on 1 January 2011 and ending on 31 December 2013.
Waikato District Health Board (WDHB)
Pursuant to the Crown Entities Act 2004, and the
New Zealand Public Health and Disability Act 2000
Gay Shirley, reappointed as a member
of WDHB for a term commencing on 20 December 2010 and ending on 8 December 2013.
