Notice of Intention to Consider Varying a Scheduled International Air Service Licence

Pursuant to section 87J(3) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, sections 41(1) and 42 of the State Sector Act 1988, and
a delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated
6 November 2007, I give notice that having received an application from Air New Zealand Limited, the Minister of Transport intends to consider varying the Scheduled International Air Service Licence held by that airline in order to provide for:
? in respect of Japan, the right to operate B777-300 aircraft and make some minor capacity adjustments in relation to services to Nagoya;
? in respect of Niue, the right to operate one return service per week with any aircraft type rather than be restricted to the use of B737 aircraft only; and
? in respect of the United Kingdom, the removal of a restriction that no longer applies on the airline’s right to carry passengers between the United States and the United Kingdom.
Any person wishing to make representations to the Minister of Transport relating to this application must forward those representations in writing to reach me at the Ministry
of Transport, PO Box 3175, Wellington, on or before
12 November 2010.
Signed at Wellington this 18th day of October 2010.
